Why Chose US
Why Choose PBL Renovation for Finished Carpentry Requirements
Why we’re Vancouver’s trusted choice for finished carpentry:
12 Years of Carpentry Expertise
With 12 years of experience in trim carpentry and millwork, we understand how wood behaves in the Lower Mainland’s coastal climate. Our installations account for seasonal expansion, moisture levels, and temperature fluctuations to prevent gaps, warping, or separation over time.
Precision Installation
We measure twice and cut once. Every miter joint is tight, every corner is coped properly, and every piece sits flush against walls and ceilings. Our carpenters use laser levels, precision tools, and traditional hand-finishing techniques to achieve flawless results.
Workmanship Warranty
We stand behind our work with a 1-year workmanship warranty on all installations. This covers defects in workmanship including joint separation, nail pops, and installation issues. If something goes wrong due to our work, we fix it at no additional cost to you.
Quality Materials
We source quality materials from trusted suppliers across British Columbia. Whether you choose MDF for painted trim or solid hardwood for stained finishes, we recommend materials that fit your budget and stand up to daily use without compromising on appearance or durability.

Finished Carpentry FAQs
How long does trim installation take?
Most single-room baseboard and crown molding installations take 1-2 days. Whole-home trim projects typically require 5-7 days depending on square footage and complexity. Custom millwork with intricate details may require additional time for fabrication and installation.
Can you match existing trim in older homes?
Yes. We measure existing profiles and either source matching stock trim or mill custom profiles to replicate original woodwork. We can match wood species, stain colors, and aging characteristics to ensure new work blends seamlessly with existing trim throughout your home.
What's the difference between MDF and wood trim?
MDF (medium-density fiberboard) is stable, cost-effective, and ideal for painted trim in interior applications. Solid wood (poplar, pine, oak) is better for stained finishes, high-moisture areas, or where durability is priority. We recommend materials based on your specific application and budget.
Do I need to paint the trim after installation?
We install trim primed and ready for paint, or we can apply final paint coats if you prefer. Stained trim receives sanding, stain application, and protective topcoat. We coordinate with your painter or handle finishing ourselves, whatever works best for your project timeline.
